Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday authorised the coverage to offer compensation to customers in case of “unscheduled energy cuts by the non-public energy distribution firms” and it was later despatched to the Lt. Governor for approval.
The coverage would now want Anil Baijal’s approval to come back into power.
“In keeping with this new coverage, within the case of an unscheduled energy reduce, the DISCOMS (energy distribution firms) must restore the electrical energy inside one hour, and failure to take action shall lead to a penalty of Rs 50 per hour per client for the primary two hours and Rs 100 per hour per client after two hours,” an official assertion stated.
The compensation can be supplied to shoppers of their month-to-month electrical energy payments.
“The Delhi authorities is assured that the LG will concur with the coverage and endorse this pro-consumer step, which can turn into a mannequin for different governments throughout the nation to comply with,” the assertion added.
