Chicago OKs controversial plan for Obama Presidential Heart

Barack Obama’s multimillion greenback plan to construct a 12-story museum and library devoted to his presidency has been accredited by a metropolis fee.

The Chicago Plan Fee on Thursday overwhelmingly signed off on the Obama Presidential Heart, which is proposed to be inbuilt historic Jackson Park on the town’s South Facet.

A lawsuit filed Monday by Shield Our Parks is searching for to dam building of the middle, alleging the town of Chicago has engaged in “a brief con shell recreation” to assist the previous president assemble the middle.

It argues the mission isn’t a real presidential library, as it’s going to solely have a digital archive of Obama’s presidential papers and never the paperwork themselves.

Whereas the plan was accredited by a metropolis fee Thursday, it nonetheless needs to be accredited elsewhere, together with the Metropolis Council.
