A New York-based animal rights group condemned a Russian soccer membership Monday after one group used a bear to pump up the group earlier than a match.
The stunt occurred Sunday earlier than a match in Pyatigorsk. Footage from the sport confirmed the bear being led to Mashuk-KMV Pyatigorsk membership’s stadium clapping at spectators and dealing with a soccer ball.
The stadium announcer claimed the bear, named Tina, would take part within the World Cup’s opening ceremony in Moscow in June. Nevertheless, soccer authorities haven’t confirmed that rumor.
World Animal Safety group condemned the stunt, saying that it’s clear from the footage that “merciless coaching strategies have been used” on the bear.
The bear was borrowed from a touring circus, Mashuk-KMV supervisor Rustam Dudov advised the Sport Specific. The circus requested the membership concerning the bear performing earlier than the match.
Dudov stated the Russian Soccer Union authorised the efficiency.
